Dr Mithila Mahesh
Clinical Psychologist & Founder
Passion:
Transworld Wellness is an amalgamation of my mission to prioritize mental health in communities, as well as my family’s 45-year history in the maritime industry. From now back to my grandfather’s time and beyond, the shipping industry has stood on the backs of these underappreciated heroes at sea. I started this initiative because our seafarers, working tirelessly on ships and sacrificing their personal comforts for the comforts of the larger community, deserve more support and care.

Qualifications:
Following a dual degree Bachelors in Neuroscience and Psychology from Boston University, Mithila attained a Masters (MSc) in Research Methods in Psychological Sciences with Merit from the University of Glasgow. She has also worked at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) Singapore as a Research Officer and has published authorship for multiple articles in peer reviewed journals.

Mithila then graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) with Distinction from Newcastle University in the UK. She then worked in the neuropsychology department at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) Trust before returning back home to Singapore to found Transworld Wellness.
Mithila is a registered clinical psychologist in the UK (HCPC) and Singapore (SRP).
